Happy Marathon Monday and good luck to those who are running Boston!
Weekends come and go by quickly – especially when the weather is warmer and you are having fun. This past weekend I visited my sisters in Boston, MA. While I was there we participated in the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A) 5K, the first race in the B.A.A Distance Medley. There was so much spirit in this city and I will share my recap of the race and visit over the next couple of days.
Now on to my week in review:
Sunday 4/13 – 10 miles – GW Parkway Classic 10 Miler
Monday 4/14 – Rest day
Tuesday 4/15 – 45 minute cycling class at RIDE DC
Wednesday 4/16 – Rest day
Thursday 4/17 – Rest day
Friday 4/18 – Rest day / Walked around Cambridge, MA
Saturday 4/19 – 3.1 miles – B.A.A 5K / Walked around Boston, MA
Total: 13.1 miles and change
I definitely had a low key week with 4ish rest days. I attended a good (but hot) spin class with my old roommate and the fitness highlight (obvi) was definitely the B.A.A 5K and exploring Boston (aka walking everywhere).
The Boston Marathon finish line and Boston Public Garden were incredible sights (Boston food adventures will be a separate post).
A visit to Sushi Taro in Dupont Circle was definitely one of the culinary and social highlights of the week. Pictured here is an udon noodle dish with a pouched egg.
I was also very happy that the Fresh Farm Market (farmer’s market) returned!
How was your week/weekend?
Has your local farmer’s market re-opened for business?
