Tasty Thursday: February Foodie Pen Pal

March 6, 2014

March 6, 2014

This past month has been super busy for me work wise, I missed posting this on the February Foodie Pen Pal Reveal last week!  Where did the month go?!

February was my first time participating in the Lean Green Bean’s Foodie Pen Pal program. I first heard of this through Amanda’s blog, Eat Hard Work Hard. I LOVE food and I thought it was a good alternative to the monthly subscription boxes.

I was paired with Monica of Life is Sooo Good. Definitely check out her blog, she has tons of recipes to share!

We were paired up at the beginning of the month and given each other’s email addresses to share likes/dislikes, food allergies etc.  I told Monica I had a sweet tooth and she sent me all these goodies!!

The spending limit is $15 and must include something written (can be recipe, a note about the items etc)

I never had any of these snacks so I was excited to dig in!

Top Row (l-r):

gimMe organic Roasted Seaweed Snacks:  This snack was my favorite of the bunch! At 25 calories a pack and gluten free the thin slices of seaweed definitely had a lot of flavor (I had Teriyaki flavor)

thinkThin Protein Bar: Chocolate covered strawberry flavored, yummy!

Gin-Gins Chewy Ginger Candy: I was nervous to try this at first because I am not a huge ginger fan, but it was delicious!! I was pleasantly surprised.

Middle Row (l-r):

Wile Friends Chocolate Coconut Peanut Butter:  I haven’t tried this yet, but looks GOOD! Perhaps I will have it on my post run breakfast this weekend.

Toffee Sea Salt Milk Chocolate: Amazing! No other words needed

Snackle Mouth Almond Pecan Maple Clusters: Such a good snack!

Bottom Row (l-r):

Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Vanilla Cake Mix: I plan I using the cake mix this weekend.  I’ll be posting it later on in my blog.

Rockin’ola Chocoberry: Chocolate granola clusters with real freeze dried strawberry yogurt drops…. devoured that real quick!

Nana’s No Gluten Chocolate Crunch Cookie: No eggs or dairy, this will definitely satisfy a chocolate craving.

Thanks to Monica for the generous box and introducing me to these new brands!!
