April 24, 2014  I looked at my list of five items I would like to cook next from the Runner’s World Cookbook, and decided I would like to try something sweet.  This week I made Hummingbird Muffins - RW”s healthier take on the Hummingbird Cake (a banana pineapple spice cake traditionally served with cream cheese frosting). B.A.A 5K Race Recap Part 2 (Around Town)

April 23, 2014 Missed Part 1? More pictures than words, today’s post will cover my typical “Around Town” section (aka all things touristy + food) of my travels. Around Town - The Marathon Spirit Large sign on Boylston Street - home of the Boston Marathon finish line.  Amazingness! Boylston Street was blocked off and pedestrians were able to visit the finish line.  It was fun to watch the would be Boston Marathoners take photos on the finish line ahead of…

GW Parkway Classic 10 Miler Race Recap

April 15, 2014 Image: Pacers This past weekend was the 30th Annual George Washington Parkway 10 Miler.  It is smaller than the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler (approximately 5K), and often overshadowed by the former.  After running the Wilson Half in November (it shares a similar course for the first 9 miles) and having never run this traditional “DC” race , I knew I wanted to tack on this 10 miler to my spring schedule.  Packet Pickup / Expo Like other…
