NYC Marathon Training 6/23-6/29 – Week 2

And 2014 is officially half way over! Eeeeks! Here is how my week went:

Monday 6/23 – Rest day

Tuesday 6/24 – Rest day

Wednesday 6/25 – 2 mile run 

Thursday 6/26 – 1/2 mile walk + 60 minutes personal training 

Friday 6/27 – 1 mile walk + 60 minutes spinning + 60 minutes personal training 

Saturday 6/28 – 6 mile run + 1 mile walk

Sunday 6/29 – 2 mile run (20 min run + cool down) 

Total: 12.5 miles 

This was a pretty good week.  My Wednesday 2 miler was pretty miserable (it was really really humid).  I had a pretty good run with my old roommate on Saturday morning.  6 miles with little humidity at the start! While my total mileage is down from last week, I was able to complete the workouts suggested by my training schedule and attend a spinning class.

This week I was able to try a new restaurant called Tico, it was delicious! Crab and avocado tostada.

Fried manchego cheese – yes please!
