Last Monday I had the opportunity to attend a ClassPass launch event for bloggers and press held at SculptDC. I was so excited to hear that ClassPass was coming to Washington, DC! It is already in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco.

The $99/month membership allows you to take unlimited classes in the ClassPass Network (3 class limit per studio per cycle, but there are loads of participating studios). Classes are all managed online through a ClassPass account. I think the business model is brilliant (especially if you prefer studio/boutique classes in which it can cost $20-$30/class). Members can try new studios and studios can fill empty class slots.
ClassPass Launch Event
After returning from my Wineglass Half weekend, I headed to SculptDC in Penn Quarter/Chinatown for the event (which happens to be right across from a Potomac River Running store….how perfect). I was greeted by a ClassPass team member and signed up for one of the three classes of the night – Rooftop Bootcamp, Sculpt 360, and Sculpt Cycling. Can you guess which one I chose?
After I signed up, I headed downstairs to the studio and dressing room area. Fun sign right?
How cute are those sparkly curtains? There were also cubbies and lockers to stow belongings. After changing into my cycling shoes and chatting with a few of the other guests, I headed into the cycling studio to set up my bike.
The class was taught by Patrick M. and he was a pretty great instructor – help with bike set up, great music, enthusiastic, and fun sets.
Fun mood lighting! At the time of the below pic… my arms were screaming. We were nearing the end of a 6 minute arm workout – loved it.

After the event there were light refreshments in the waiting area. Coconut water?

Or champagne?

Sweetgreen was also there and I was able to sample their new salad Rad Thai, so goooddd.
While I was eating I heard, “Hey Jenny!” I thought, who knows me here? It was Courtney and Mar! So fun to catch up!
After a lovely evening of fitness and fun, attendees were gifted with a bag of goodies and a month access to the DC ClassPass network (I’ll share which studios I’ve gone to in a future post).
ClassPass thank you for a wonderful evening and welcome to the District!
Have you heard of ClassPass?
