Hello from Tbilisi which is the capital of Georgia. Vacation has been great and I look forward to sharing my travel photos next week.
Last month I shared my Five DC Bucket List Races. Today I am going to share my Five Maryland Bucket List Races. These are races that I have never participated in (and in no particular order).
1. Frederick Half Marathon and 5K

Having run the Baltimore Half Marathon three times and running the Baltimore 5K last year, people are shocked when I tell them I have not run in the Frederick Running Festival. After reading so many nice recaps over the years I would love to run this race. PLUS their race premium usually has the Maryland flag
2. Maryland Half Marathon

A pretty small half, but it is the Maryland Half. It also benefits the University of Maryland Cancer. If you cannot tell, I am a Marylander (living in DC).
3. St. Michael’s Half Marathon

I signed up for this race two years ago, but I forgot that it was the same weekend as my sister’s college graduation (oops). St. Michael’s is a beautiful small town and the course is flat (although I heard it was not too scenic). It would be a nice weekend trip. Fun fact: Portions of Wedding Crashers was filmed here.
4. Baltimore Women’s Classic 5K

It is the second oldest and largest Women’s only 5K in the Mid-Atlantic and proceeds support services for female cancer patients and their families across the state of Maryland.
5. Baltimore 10 Miler

While Baltimore is about an hour north of DC, I am pretty spoiled by the plethora of DC races. I realized that I am missing out on so many Baltimore races outside the Baltimore Running Festival. This includes the Baltimore 10 Miler (one of the classics).
Have you run any of these MD races?
Do you have any MD races on your running bucket list?
