March Madness-Chicago Marathon-Lottery #1

Yesterday the Chicago Marathon opened up its lottery application (runners with guranteed entry could also sign up at this time).  It was fun to see #ChiMarathon references on FB, Twitter, IG, and blog posts. As you all know, Chicago is my first choice for a fall marathon.  I submitted my application and the wait begins! PS - the application process is so easy, plus there was no processing/application fee involved. Did you enter the Chicago Marathon lottery? Running with a charity?…

2015 St. Pat’s 5K and 10K (Double) Race Recap

Last year I participated in Pacers' St. Patrick's Day 8K.  The race was flat, festive, and the start of what was a memorable spring season.  When Pacer's released their event 2015 schedule, I was delighted to see a page for the St. Pat's 10K, 5K, Double and Leap. Image: Pacers Running Pacers was bringing back the 10K! Runners had the option to sign up for the 10K, 5K or both (the Double).  Double participants would receive a finisher's medal - ummm…

2015 Chicago Marathon – I Want You!

Some of you already know (or figured out through comments) that the Chicago Marathon is my top choice for a fall marathon.  Why Chicago? Image: Chicago Marathon The obvious - a flat and fast course. I’ve never visited Chicago. Would be fun to run five of the six World Marathon Majors.  I do not think I will ever qualify for Boston (hence 5/6)…I know never say never…I’ve read some great success stories (while I fully support the charity runners, I…
