Friday Five – Favorite Race Shirts

Friday is finally here! I am very excited for this weekend as I am headed to Istanbul, Turkey and Tbilisi, Georgia for vacation! Today I am linking up with Mar, Courtney, and Cynthia and the theme is Favorite _______.  I thought I would keep it light and fun and share my Five Favorite Race Shirts.  It was not an easy feat as I’ve raced in over 40 the past 10 years (unfortunately my older race shirts are at my parents house - the cotton ones)! In no…

Tasty Thursday – Red Red Wine (Sangria)

I’m SO Crafty – DIY Gold Chalkboard Frame

July 15, 2014 As you may recall, this past weekend I hosted a bridal shower for my good friend Patty.  You may have seen some chalkboard frames in my pictures - I made them!  While I primarily write about fitness, running, traveling and food, I am quite crafty.  I thought this would be a fun project to share on Run Jenny Run.  I bought the frames from A.C. Moore when they went on sale.  I am sure you can find similar ones…

Friday Five – Fitness Snapshots

July 11, 2014 Happy Friday! Doesn’t the week following a holiday weekend feel so long? Today I am linking up with Mar, Courtney, and Cynthia and the theme is Fitness Snapshots. I thought I would share five pictures from my quick track workout yesterday (before the rain). 1. Warm up walk to the track   2. Gotta get the shoe pic (this track only had 4 lanes)  3. First of six laps (2400m warm up). Feels weird running on this surface.  4. Did a few…

Tasty Thursday – Blueberry Overnight Oats

July 10, 2014 Another overnight oats post?  I know I know……I am a bit behind on the overnight oats train (I suppose I would fall in the ‘late majority’ category.. ok… enough nerding).  I’ve pinned so many recipes, but never got my act together to make it.  When I go running with my old roommate Rachel, we usually spend time talking food (of course).  During our last run, Rachel mentioned she made overnight oats for the first time and it…

PRR Firecracker 5K Race Recap

July 8, 2014 I had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend from beginning to end.  The holiday started off with a bang (pun intended) on Friday morning as I ran Potomac River Running’s Firecracker 5K.  I’ve grown fond of running holiday races (Thanksgiving, New Years, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day) - they are usually shorter distances, fun, and so festive.   Image: Potomac River Running Races  Packet Pickup Just like their New Year’s Day 5K, PRR offered race day packet…
